control, design and measurement including:
- Applications and case studies
- Building acoustics
- Duct acoustics
- Experimental techniques
- Flow acoustics and aeroacoustics
- Flow induced noise and vibration
- Human response and subjective acoustics
- Inverse problems
- Materials for noise and vibration control
- Metamaterials and smart structures
- Modelling and numerical methods
- Noise and vibration control (passive or active)
- Nonlinear noise and vibration
- Signal processing and analysis
- Sound radiation and transmission
- Source characterisation and identification
- Structure-borne sound
- Uncertainty and variability
- Waves
Keynote Forums
These represent current major scientific challenges and focuses of research activity related
to noise and vibration. Keynote Forums for NOVEM 2021 concern:
- Sound field control
- Engineered materials for noise and vibration control
- Big data and machine learning in noise and vibroacoustics
Special Sessions
Special Sessions are planned on focused areas relevant to the conference, including the Keynote
Forum themes. Other sessions proposed to date include:
- Failures and disasters in noise and vibration research
- Demonstrators (real-time demonstrations of methods, techniques and systems)
