Programme

The NOVEM 2021 programme will comprise Keynote Forums, Contributed Papers and various Special Sessions.

Keynote Forums

These represent current major scientific challenges and focusses of research activity related to noise and vibration. Forum topics to be announced.

Contributed Papers

Contributed papers are invited in areas relating to noise and vibration modelling, control, design and measurement including:

  • Applications and case studies
  • Building acoustics
  • Duct acoustics
  • Experimental techniques
  • Flow acoustics and aeroacoustics
  • Flow induced noise and vibration
  • Human response and subjective acoustics
  • Inverse problems
  • Materials for noise and vibration control
  • Metamaterials and smart structures
  • Modelling and numerical methods
  • Noise and vibration control (passive or active)
  • Nonlinear noise and vibration
  • Signal processing and analysis
  • Sound radiation and transmission
  • Source characterisation and identification
  • Structure-borne sound
  • Waves

Special Sessions

Special Sessions are planned on focussed areas relevant to the conference. Sessions proposed to date include:

  • Failures and disasters in noise and vibration research
  • Demonstrators (real-time demonstrations of methods, techniques and systems)
